Belarus’ President’s Security Service seen as important element of national security system
MINSK, 25 October (BelTA) — The President’s Security Service is an important and reliable part of the national security system, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said as he spoke at a solemn gathering to mark the 30th anniversary of the President's Security Service on 25 October, BelTA has learned.
The president pointed out that the President’s Security Service is equipped with the most advanced gear, weapons, and means of protection. It is one of the most combat-ready and trained military units of the country. "I would like you to be the most combat-ready and trained," the head of state noted.
"You are a very important and reliable element of the national security system," the Belarusian leader said. "No wonder your motto is ‘Failure is not an option’. And indeed you have no room for error. The information about your achievements is most often classified. You must be effective but invisible."
The president noted that such service to the Motherland is not a job for everyone. Not many people would choose such a career path that requires to be constantly on the alert and ready for action. “In case of emergency any of you will shield not only the protected person, but also civilians, women, the elderly, children, your country. This is the highest spiritual and moral mission of a true defender."
