MINSK, 17 August (BelTA) – At a session in Minsk on 17 August, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said that he is going to make a statement in response to a series of publications in mass media and the Internet, BelTA has learned.
“I am following mass media, individual reports in the Internet and so on… I hear them, I see them and I am going to comment on them in the nearest future,” the head of state said.
He asked his spokesperson and the press service as well as the presidential administration to put together these reports, both small and big ones, structure them into topics and submit them by the end of the day. “This way I will be able to give an answer to people who are trying to criticize the decisions I make,” the president noted.
“However, I am glad that around 90% of feedback is positive. This sends a message suggesting that although people support the president and his actions they believe we should improve discipline. This will be done immediately,” he emphasized.
