MOSCOW, 22 November (BelTA) – Belarus remains Russia’s most important trade and economic partner, Russian President Vladimir Putin said as he met with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko in the Kremlin on 22 November.
Vladimir Putin said that Belarus and Russia saw a decline in bilateral trade in 2015. “But this is temporary,” he noted. The established mechanisms of Belarusian-Russian cooperation in trade and economy will help overcome the difficulties, the Russian leader believes.
Vladimir Putin pointed out that mutual investments are increasing, and cooperation is growing stronger. “All this creates conditions for moving forward,” the Russian head of state said.
