MINSK, 26 July (BelTA) – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus strongly condemns the inhumane act of terror of the Islamic State and the subsequent attacks of terrorists on the settlements around the Syrian town of As-Suwayda that killed many people. This statement was posted on the website of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, BelTA reports.
“Outrageous acts of violence towards civilian population in Syria cannot be justified and should not be left without a consolidated and tough response of the global community, as one of its priority tasks is combating terrorist and extremist groups,” the ministry said.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasizes that it consistently pushes for peace in Syria and will never tolerate any manifestations of terrorism.
“It is with great pain that we learned about a great number of Syrians that were killed and injured. We express our condolences to families of the victims and wish speedy recovery to the injured,” the statement reads.
