MINSK, 28 June (BelTA) - Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko met with Kazakhstan President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in the capital of Kazakhstan on 28 June, BelTA has learned.
"Belarus feels great respect and friendship towards Kazakhstan. We have always been allies, partners. The human factor is very important for the development of business relations too. We are pleased to note that after the pandemic, trade and economic cooperation is rebounding very dynamically: Belarusian exports to Kazakhstan and Kazakhstan's supplies to Belarus have been growing," Roman Golovchenko said.
The Belarusian head of government noted that during his visit to Kazakhstan he had an opportunity to learn more about the innovative industrial projects implemented in the country, to discuss cooperation in various areas. Specific agreements were reached and contracts were signed.
President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted that on 26 June he had a telephone conversation with Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko. "We had a thorough exchange of views on the further development of cooperation. For Kazakhstan, Belarus is a truly strategic partner and an ally. We will do our utmost, on a mutual basis, to develop and deepen our cooperation," he said.
