MINSK, 10 February (BelTA) – Belarus and Iran are tied by strong friendship and cooperation, Belarus Industry Minister Vitaly Vovk said as he spoke at a function held on 10 February to mark the 38th anniversary of Iran’s Islamic Revolution victory, BelTA has learned.
The minister stressed that Iran gave the world great poets, astronomers, inventors, scientists. Iran has made great headway in different areas. Vitaly Vovk stressed that Minsk and Tehran are working on boost comprehensive cooperation, which is widely supported by the leaders of the two states.
“Belarus is interested in large-scale cooperation with Iran in the economic sector,” the industry minister said. He expressed confidence that Belarus and Iran will continue working closely on raising bilateral cooperation onto a higher level.
