Belarus hopes to step up economic cooperation with Serbia

MINSK, 26 January (BelTA) - Belarus hopes to continue developing trade and economic relations with Serbia, Belarus Prime Minister Andrei Kobyakov said as he met with his Serbian counterpart Aleksandar Vucic on 26 January, BelTA has learned.

“Serbia is one of the leading countries on the Balkan Peninsula and an important partner for Belarus. It is our fraternal nation, one of the leading trading partners in the region. We hope that the current visit will boost the development of trade and economic relations,” Andrei Kobyakov noted.

Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar VucicThe Premier expressed confidence that, with the current level of mutual relations, Belarus and Serbia will continue developing their friendship and cooperation. The Belarusian head of government emphasized Belarus’ readiness to discuss the issues of bilateral agenda.

Belarus hopes to step up economic cooperation with SerbiaIn turn, Aleksandar Vucic thanked the Belarusian side for warm welcome and hospitality. “I hope we will have an opportunity to develop economic relations. Belarus is a friendly country for us. Our good political relations will promote mutual trade. This is our goal,” he said.
