MINSK, 11 April (BelTA) – For the Ukrainian conflict to be resolved, all the sides have to be genuinely interested in it, BelTA learned from Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei on 11 April.
The Minister remarked that the matter of the Ukrainian conflict had been raised during negotiations with Bulgarian Minister of Foreign Affairs Daniel Mitov earlier that day. Vladimir Makei made it clear that Belarus was ready to do everything to implement the Minsk package of agreements adopted in February 2015.
“At present there is no recipe for ending the conflict that still exists in the brotherly country of Ukraine,” stated Vladimir Makei. In his words, all the sides, primarily those directly involved in the situation, have to be genuinely interested in resolving the conflict.
During the negotiations the Belarusian and Bulgarian ministers of foreign affairs agreed that it is necessary to do everything for the sake of restoring peace and tranquility in the Ukrainian land.
Vladimir Makei underlined that the establishment of good neighborly relations between Belarus and European Union member states, including Bulgaria, will contribute to continued stability and stronger security in the region. It is particularly important considering the modern international situation, concluded the Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs.
