MINSK, 22 June (BelTA) – Priorities of Belarus-European Union partnership will become kind of a roadmap to guide cooperation till 2020, BelTA learned from Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei on 22 June.
The minister of foreign affairs said that Belarus and the European Union may sign this document as early as this year. The sides are now working hard on the document. The partnership priorities are expected to cover all the spheres of mutual relations – trade, economy, politics, humanitarian affairs, and other matters.
Vladimir Makei explained: “Signing the partnership priorities is a very important task for us because it creates the foundation of concrete interaction between Belarus and the European Union in all fields. It also creates the foundation for moving on to tighter cooperation between financial institutions of Belarus and the European Union.”
Vladimir Makei is convinced that the document can be signed soon. It will become a very important milestone in the history of Belarus’ relations with the European Union.
