MINSK, 4 March (BelTA) – Belarus is interested in stepping up onterparliamentary cooperation with China, Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Mikhail Myasnikovich said as he met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Belarus Cui Qiming, BelTA has learned.
The Belarusian side has sent an invitation to visit Belarus to the chairman of the Permanent Committee of the All-China People’s Representatives Assembly. “We count on your assistance in this issue and hope that the visit will take place in the agreed time,” Mikhail Myasnikovich said addressing the diplomat.
The chairman of the Council of the Republic praised the continuity of relations between the parliaments and governments of Belarus and China. “I am convinced that the projects and approaches which we have repeatedly discussed will be implemented. On the whole, we see the positive dynamics in our bilateral relations and are satisfied with the mutual support in the international arena. The system of relations at the high and top levels which exists between Belarus and China makes the bilateral relations increasingly vibrant. It is praised in the political and business circles, by the population,” the speaker said.
The Ambassador, for his part, remarked that the Chinese side draws huge attention to the development of Belarus-China relations and cooperation in various avenues. The diplomat stressed that China is also interested in the enhancement of Interparliamentary cooperation.
