MINSK, 13 November (BelTA) – Belarus is a special partners for Kaliningrad Oblast, Governor of Russia’s Kaliningrad Oblast Anton Alikhanov said as he met with Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko on 13 November, BelTA informs.
“Belarus is a special partners for Kaliningrad Oblast, a neighbor and a brotherly nation. Many Belarusians are living in Kaliningrad Oblast. We respect and value them very much, they are leaders in many fields, they are an example of good work, doing business and management,” the governor said.
This is the first official visit to Belarus for Anton Alikhanov. But he has already been to Belarus. “I am grateful for a warm welcome and hospitality,” he said.
Anton Alikhanov mentioned big prospects for the development of cooperation in agriculture. The sides have already established cooperation, and the expansion of interaction in this field meets the interests of Kaliningrad Oblast. “Agriculture and Belarus are synonyms, you are true leaders in this industry,” the governor said.
