MINSK, 17 November (BelTA) - German Vice Chancellor, Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs Sigmar Gabriel was impressed by Belarus’ commitment to European cohesion. He made the statement after the talks with Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko on 17 November, BelTA has learned.
According to the vice chancellor, the European topic was top on the agenda of the meeting. “I was impressed by Belarus’ commitment to European cohesion,” the vice chancellor said.
During the 15th Minsk Forum Sigmar Gabriel remarked that this issue will be also discussed at the Eastern Partnership summit in Brussels. He also believes that member states of the European Union should do their best to promote the efficient cooperation of this integration association with eastern partners and to ensure peace and wellbeing in the EU.
