Belarus’ chief state sanitary doctor: We work 24/7 to stop coronavirus

MINSK, 7 April (BelTA) - Belarus has been carrying out a whole range of necessary sanitary and epidemiological measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19, Deputy Minister - Chief State Sanitary Doctor of Belarus Natalia Zhukova told the media, BelTA has learned.

“One of the main goals is to minimize the risks, importation and spread of the infection. This means that we continue searching and localizing all those contacts who register with us today. We work 24/7. Every epidemiological case is investigated, hospitals are carrying out a whole range of activities. Disinfecting measures are also undertaken if necessary,” Natalia Zhukova said.

According to her, the meeting in the president’s office discussed a whole set of issues related to the development of the epidemiological situation, measures to minimize the impact. The head of state drew special attention to the issues of protection and support of doctors, including personal protective gear, payment for work, food provision.
