PYEONGCHANG, 15 February (BelTA) – Belarus is against doping in sport, chief of the Belarusian mission to the 23rd Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, Deputy Sports and Tourism Minister Alexander Baraulya said as he met with WADA President Craig Reedie, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian’ National Olympic Committee.
Chief of the Belarusian mission to the 23rd Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang Alexander Baraulya and Head of the National Anti-Doping Agency of Belarus Denis Muzhzhukhin discussed the implementation of the country’s national anti-doping program with the WADA president.
“Belarus is against doping. We want to do a lot to prevent the use of prohibited medications by athletes. Clean sports have always been a priority in the world,” the Belarusian representatives stressed.
The parties also discussed the accreditation of the Minsk anti-doping laboratory by the World Anti-Doping Agency, and also the implementation of the anti-doping program during the Second European Games in Minsk in 2019.
