MINSK, 27 April (BelTA) - The laws in furtherance of the Constitution should be written together with the people, Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Vladimir Andreichenko said at a meeting of the eighth session of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the seventh convocation on 27 April, BelTA has learned.
“The head of state has set a task to immediately embark on the work to bring the current legislation in line with the Constitution. Just a few days ago a detailed plan of activities on the preparation and acceptance of the corresponding legal acts was approved for all government bodies. To develop it, the Council of the House of Representatives adopted its working schedule, indicating deadlines and responsible committees. Therefore, the MPs assigned to specific bills need to be involved in the work in the most active way,” said Vladimir Andreichenko.
The speaker stressed that the Constitution was written together with the people. “The laws to develop it should be written in the same way. It is necessary to involve as many specialists, mass media, and public organizations as possible. People should see how the ideas they voted for in the referendum are implemented in practice,” he added.
