MINSK, 11 September (BelTA) - Belarusian fertilizers ensure India’s food security, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Belarus Pankaj Saxena said in an interview to Belarus One TV channel on 10 September, BelTA has learned.
“Fertilizers are the major imports from Belarus and an important element for our agriculture. I will not be wrong if I say that Belarusian fertilizers ensure India’s food security,” said Pankaj Saxena.
The ambassador said that in the past few decades the pharmaceutical sector has become one of the crucial sectors of the Indian economy. “Belarus is a member of the Eurasian Economic Union where Indian companies can create a good basis for production. We encourage them to go to Belarus and use its favorable location,” he said.
Pankaj Saxena stressed that India is also interested in a prompt signing of the free trade agreement with the Eurasian Economic Union.
