MINSK, 23 January (BelTA) – Russia’s Alina Zagitova leads after the ladies’ short program on the first day of the ISU European Figure Skating Championships in Minsk. The judges gave her a total of 75 points, BelTA has learned.
Her teammate Sofia Samodurova takes the second position with 72.88 points. Switzerland’s Alexia Paganini is third with 65.64 points.
The medalists will be named after the ladies’ free skating on 25 January.
Belarus is represented by Anna Kublikova and Yuri Gulitsky in ice dance and Yakau Zenko in the men's singles.
The championships will end on 26 January. On 27 January, more than 100 skaters including medalists will take part in a gala concert.
