MINSK, 8 August (BelTA) – Young people from Georgia and Moldova plan to join a Belarus-Russia-Ukraine student team, BelTA learned from Sergei Klishevich, First Secretary of the Minsk City Committee of the BRSM Youth Union.
In his words, young Georgians and Moldovans would like to make part of the international student team. “I think they will take part in this joint project next year. We want to bring together representatives of all the former Soviet states in the future. We are moving towards this goal,” Sergei Klishevich remarked. This year young people from the Belarus-Russia-Ukraine student team are helping to build the National Olympic Rhythmic Gymnastics Training Center in Minsk.
Such joint teams are engaged in big projects like the construction of the third metro line in Minsk and a children’s dance theater under the Boris Eifman Dance Academy in St Petersburg, and also the reconstruction of Dinamo Stadium in Minsk. Young people also contribute to the harvest campaign. A Belarus-Russia student agricultural team has become a full-fledged participant of the harvest campaign in Vileika District.
The agricultural team comprises students of Belarusian State Agrarian Technical University, Kursk State Agricultural Academy, and Nizhny Novgorod State Agricultural Academy. “Their help came during the peak time of the agricultural season, from 10 July to 25 August. The students are working as farm machinery operators delivering grain to the facilities where their peers are helping to dry it,” Sergei Klishevich said. The receiving organization Viliya-Agro provides the students with full board accommodation.
The student team movement is among the main avenues of BRSM’s work.
