Yanka Kupala theater to tour China in autumn
MINSK, 23 March (BelTA) – Yanka Kupala theater plans to go on a Chinese tour this autumn, Director General of Yanka Kupala National Academic Theater Pavel Polyakov told a press conference, BelTA has learned.
In 2016, Yanka Kupala theater joined the Silk Road International League of Theaters as part of China’s Silk Road initiative uniting 65 countries. In autumn, the theater plans to go on tour to Beijing. At the moment, the sides are discussing the playbill for the tour which will consist of six performances.
The Belarusian theater has also been invited to partake in the festival of national theaters in Lvov in November. The theater is going to show Pinsk Gentry there.
In autumn, Yanka Kupala theater will host theater Comedien’s Haven from Saint-Petersburg.
Pavel Polyakov added that last year, the theater revived the tradition of children’s performances with a premiere of Crystal Shoe.
