WTA rankings: Sabalenka remains 2nd, Azarenka climbs to 24th

MINSK, 6 May (BelTA) - Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus has retained her second position in the WTA rankings after her defeat in the Madrid Open final last week, BelTA has learned.

Aryna Sabalenka goes second with 7,498 points, while Iga Swiatek of Poland, the winner of the Madrid Open has scored 10,910 points. Belarus’ Victoria Azarenka went up two spots to the 24^th place with 2,024 points. Belarus’ Aleksandra Sasnovich lost four positions to go down to the 113^th place.

2. Aryna Sabalenka (Belarus) – 7,498;
3. Coco Gauff (USA) – 7,313;
4. Elena Rybakina (Kazakhstan) – 6,673;

Novak Djokovic of Serbia tops the ATP rankings. Andrey Rublev of Russia rose to the 6^th spot after winning the Madrid Open. Felix Auger-Aliassime of Canada, the Madrid Open finalist, jumped from the 35^th to the 20^th place. Ilya Ivashko of Belarus goes 303^rd.
