WTA rankings: Sabalenka, Azarenka retain their positions

MINSK, 8 August (BelTA) – The leading Belarusian tennis players have retained their positions in the latest WTA rankings, BelTA has learned.

Aryna Sabalenka goes 6th with a total of 3,366 points. Former world number one Victoria Azarenka remained 20th with 2,076 points. Aliaksandra Sasnovich moved one spot down from 35th to 36th (1,341 points). Aryna Sabalenka will play at the Canadian Open this week, Victoria Azarenka will not be able to join her fellow Belarusian at the tournament because of visa issues.

Ilya Ivashka of Belarus goes 50th in the ATP rankings (915 points). Egor Gerasimov of Belarus is 167th with 317 points.
