MINSK, 11 July (BelTA) – Student of North-Caucasus Federal University (Russia) Anastasia Kobtseva has won the 27th edition of the international inter-university beauty pageant Spring Queen 2018. The final show of the beauty contest took place in Minsk on 10 July, BelTA has learned.
Anastasia Kobtseva also won the Spring Queen Online title. The voting was available in the VKontakte social network.
Anastasia Kobtseva is a youth activist, master of sport in rhythmic gymnastics and a coach. She has two younger siblings.
Maria Solovyova from Vitebsk State University was named the first runner-up. Valeria Ketova from Northern (Arctic) Federal University (Russia) was the second runner-up. She shared the Miss Congeniality title with student of Bashkir State University (Russia) Zukhra Mukhamyarova.
Veronika Adamovich from Belarusian State Economic University was named the Queen of Charms. Vlada Vodyanova from Brest State Technical University was named the Romantic Queen.
Eight students from Armenia, Belarus, Latvia and Russia took part in the pageant that included intellectual and creative contests.
The Spring Queen pageant is a not-for-profit student project that is designed to identify and support talented young people and promote culture, traditions and customs of the CIS states and ‘near abroad’ countries. Eligible contestants should be 17-25 years old and should be undergraduate or postgraduate students or teachers. The contest is organized by the BRSM Youth Union and the Russian Union of Youth.
