MINSK, 22 September (BelTA) – Outstanding Belarusian athlete Vladimir Samsonov has been elected Vice President of the European Table Tennis Union (ETTU) at the online ETTU congress, Belarus’ NOC press service informs.
Russian representative Igor Levitin has been elected ETTU President. ETTU Executive Board has included: First Vice President Pedro Moura (Portugal), Vice President for Finances Sandra Deaton (England), Vice Presidents Heike Ahlert (Germany), Vladimir Samsonov (Belarus), Sonja Grefberg (Finland), Ina Jozepsone (Latvia), Miguel Vicens (France).
Vladimir Samsonov’s candidature was supported by more than 80% of votes, which approves a high level of trust to the Belarusian table tennis.
The next ETTU congress is due to take place in Cluj-Napoca, Romania in September 2021.
