MINSK, 8 September (BelTA) – Vasily Kiriyenko of Belarus, a member of Team Sky, finished third in the Tour of Britain 2017 stage five's individual time trial, BelTA has learned.
The Belarusian completed Thursday's 16km route in 19 minutes nine seconds, seven seconds behind Dutch Lotto NL-Jumbo Lars Boom (19 minutes two seconds) and one second behind his Belgian team-mate Victor Campenaerts (19 minutes eight seconds). The competitions will be over on 10 September.
The UCI Continental Minsk Cycling Team is taking part in the three-day Tour of Bulgaria. At the first stage Konstantin Klimenkov of Belarus placed third behind Vitaly Buts from Ukraine’s UCI Continental Kolss Cycling Team (his time is 5 hours 45 minues 49 seconds) and his teammate Andrei Vasilyuk.
The UCI Continental Minsk Cycling Team is currently ranked second after Ukraine’s UCI Continental Kolss Cycling Team.
The 2017 UCI Road World Championships are scheduled for 17-24 September in Bergen, Norway.
