MINSK, 23 February (BelTA) – Belarus’ Andrei Vasilevski and Jonathan Erlich of Israel went off to a good start in the Open Sud de France doubles event in Montpellier, BelTA has learned.
In the round of Last 16 they saw off the Indian-Slovak duo of Divij Sharan and Igor Zelenay 7-5, 6-3. In the quarterfinal Andrei Vasilevski and Jonathan Erlich will face David Pel of the Netherlands and Sweden’s Andre Goransson.
In the singles event Belarus’ Egor Gerasimov, ranked 83 in the world, will take on former world number one Andy Murray of the UK, currently 121st in the ATP rankings.
The tournament in Montpellier will complete on 28 February.
