Union State Day taking place at Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk

VITEBSK, 12 July (BelTA) – Union State Day (Friendship Day) is taking place at the international festival of arts Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk, BelTA informs.

The Union State Day will consist of two blocks: official events and cultural projects. The first one will open with a flower ceremony at the Eternal Flame of the memorial in honor of the Soviet soldiers-liberators, veterans and underground movement members of Vitebsk Oblast. The Arts Museum has scheduled several interesting exhibitions - an exhibition of Rostov enamel, an exhibition featuring the replica of the Great Imperial Crown, and an exhibition dedicated to the image of Alexander Nevsky in arts.

The Zdravnevo Museum-Estate will host a media session “The Union State: ways to convey the cultural code to the youth”. This year marks 175 years since the birth of Ilya Repin. The session will discuss extensively the ways to preserve the cultural heritage of the artist and the common cultural space of Belarus and Russia.

A few events of Youth Days will take place at Victory Square. These are open-air intellectual games and a festival of cover bands featuring the best musicians from Belarusian regions and the city of Minsk.

The concert “Union State Invites” will highlight the 50th anniversary of the Pesnyary band. It will also feature Piotr Yelfimov, Anatoly Kasheparov, Troitsa, NAVIBAND, Varvara, Soprano Turetskogo, any others.

Valery Leontiev will perform at the Summer Amphitheater, Irina Dorofeyeva – at the concert hall Vitebsk. Aleksandr Panayotov will also perform at the concert hall Vitebsk later.

The draw ceremony of the 28th International Song Contest Vitebsk 2019 will take place in the evening.

The Vasilyevsky Island Drama Theater (St. Petersburg) brought the comedy Wedding to the National Academic Drama Theater.

The Omsk State Russian Folk Choir will perform at the Vitebsk Oblast Philharmonic.

The Belarusian puppet theater Lyalka will feature productions for children and adults Train Your Dragon, Thumbelina, etc.

The street art festival On Seven Winds will feature performances of dancers, musicians, cover bands, artists, a fire show, etc.

The International Festival of Arts Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk will be held till 15 July. Additional events are scheduled for 16-17 July.
