MINSK, 15 January (BelTA) – The UK Visa Application Center was officially opened in Minsk on 15 January, BelTA has learned.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to the Republic of Belarus Bruce Bucknell noted: “I am happy that the Visa Application Center started its operation in Minsk. I hope that Belarusians will be happy with the level of services. It is also a perfect example of public-private partnership. Thanks to the delegation of powers we were able to open more visa application centers worldwide and save the money of the government and taxpayers of the UK.”
In fact the Minsk Visa Application Center has been receiving applications for the UK visa and biometric data since last year. The center, run by UK Visas & Immigration (UKVI), is located in Nemiga City, 40 Nemiga Street. Applications received at the center are sent to the UK Embassy in Moscow. Applications for short-term visas are considered within 15 working days.
The Visa Application Center provides a wide range of additional services, including A VIP-hall, porterage and PVS (Priority Visa Service).
