MINSK, 11 February (BelTA) – Athletes Elvira Herman and Nastassia Mironchyk-Ivanova clinched two victories at the international tournaments in France, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Athletics Federation.
At the Meeting Elite de Metz in Eaubonne long jumper Nastassia Mironchyk-Ivanova made 6m67cm in her third attempt to place first with her best personal record this winter. Second was Eloyse Lesueur-Aymonin from France (6m60cm). Third was Laura Strati of Italy (6m58cm).
At the Meeting Hauts-de-France Pas-de-Сalais in Lievin Elvina Herman won the Hurdles event in 8 seconds. Silver went to Hanna Plotitsyna from Ukraine (8.06). Bronze went to Evonne Britton from the United States (8.10).
Belarusian athletes will next compete at the 2019 European Athletics Indoor Championships which is due to take place in Glasgow, Scotland on 1-3 March.
