MINSK, 10 April (BelTA) – The Belarusian team clinched two gold medals at the international tournament in Bulgaria’s Ruse, BelTA has learned.

In the -53kg division Vanessa Kolodinskaya defeated Roksana Zasina of Poland 3-1 in the semifinal and saw off Zhuldyz Eshimova of Kazakhstan 2-0 to collect gold.

The second gold medal was claimed by Yekaterina Gonchar (55kg weight category), who beat Turkey’s Nuray Karadag, Bulgaria’s Elena Nikolova, and Bulgaria’s Bilyana Dubova.

Taking part in the women’s wrestling competitions in Bulgaria’s Ruse were 115 athletes from 24 countries.
