MINSK, 13 October (BelTA) – Belarusian athletes won two gold medals at the third stage of the Sports Acrobatics World Cup, Rzeszow International Acro Cup, in Poland, BelTA informs.
The top of the podium was graced by the Belarusian team of Yulia Ivonchik, Veronika Nabokina and Karina Sandovich who got the total of 27,810 points to edge the team from Poland. In the mixed pairs event Belarus’ Artur Belyakov and Olga Melnik scored 28,000 points to grab gold. Silver went to Kazakhstan (27,370 points). Third was Poland (26,920 points). The Belarusian duet of Artur Belyakov and Olga Melnik placed fourth in the World Cup mixes pairs standings. Margarita Bartashevich and Viktoria Mikhnovich from Minsk became the season’s best in the women’s pairs.
Belarus also won two medals at the World Acrobatics Championships 2016 in China’s Putian. Margarita Bartasehvich and Viktoria Mikhnovich clinched the women pair silver. Karina Sandovich, Veronika Nabokina and Yekaterina Borisevich took the women group bronze.
