MINSK, 23 July (BelTA) – Two contestants from Belarus will take part in the Miss CIS 2018 pageant, BelTA learned from the Facebook page of the contest.
Minskers Anna Ponomareva (20 years old) and Victoria Lavrenko (25 years old) have already arrived in Kazakhstan’s capital Astana that hosts the event. The contestants will take part in charity campaigns and official events, learn about customs and traditions of Kazakhstan, and see the country’s landmarks. They contestants have already visited a local center for children with special needs and toured the Burabai resort.
The Miss CIS pageant has been held since 1996. This year the contest is timed to the 20th anniversary of Astana. The Miss CIS final show will take place on 27 July. 19 ladies from 10 countries will compete for the title. During the final show they will showcase national costumes and evening gowns. The winner will be awarded with prize money and a crown.
Last year the Miss CIS title went to Shushan Yeritsyan from Armenia.
