MINSK, 18 January (BelTA) – Turkey visa seekers are recommended to use an online visa application system in Belarus, BelTA learned from the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus.
The press service noted that the agreement between the Governments of Belarus and Turkey on the mutual abolition of visas entered into force on 1 June 2014. In accordance with the documents, two countries’ citizens have the right to enter, leave, pass through and stay on the territory of the other state for a period not exceeding 30 days from the date of entry into the country, provided that the total duration of stay does not exceed 90 days during a year.
At the same time, people need to obtain visas to travel to Turkey for the purpose of study, scientific activities, family reunion and residence, and work (except for staff involved in the transport of passengers and cargo).
According to the Turkish Embassy in Belarus, starting 5 January 2016 visa seekers are recommended to use the online application system at www.visa.gov.tr for filing documents for these types of visas, the press service informed.
