MINSK, 26 September (BelTA) – The 23rd international tourism expo Tourbusiness will focus on inbound and domestic tourism, Belarusian Deputy Sports and Tourism Minister Mikhail Portnoi told reporters on 26 September, BelTA has learned.
“This year’s edition of the forum will be different from the previous ones. The focus will be placed on Belarus’ tourism potential, that is on inbound and domestic tourism. Previously, the emphasis was on outbound tourism,” Mikhail Portnoi explained.
He noted that representatives of eleven countries participated in different editions of the forum. “This time, the expo will bring together specialists from 14 countries. Greece, Egypt and Vietnam will make their debut,” Mikhail Portnoi said.
He added that the program of the expo includes a roundtable discussion on the state and development prospects of MICE tourism in Belarus, and also presentations of new tourism products, destinations and sites.
The expo will be organized by the national exhibition center BelExpo jointly with the Belarusian Sports and Tourism Ministry. The event will run from 28 through 30 September.
