TOKYO, 2 August (BelTA) – Maryna Litvinchuk and Volha Khudzenka have reached the Women’s K2 500m semifinal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, BelTA has learned.
In the preliminary heat the Belarusians clocked 1:43.377 to finish second. Hungary’s Tamara Csipes and Erika Medveczky clocked 1:42.776 to place first.
Germany, Slovenia, and Denmark will continue competition in the quarterfinals.
The Tokyo Olympics kicked off on 23 July. Belarus currently goes 44th on the medal table with one gold and one bronze medals. China tops the medal table. The United States goes second, with Japan in third. The Olympics closing ceremony is scheduled for 8 August.
