Tickets for Europe v USA match in Minsk go on sale

MINSK, 4 May (BelTA) -  Tickets for the Europe vs USA athletics match in Minsk have gone on sale. They range between Br12-Br25, head of the Belarusian Athletics Federation Vadim Devyatovsky told the media in the National Press Center, BelTA has learned.

“We have long thought about the price of tickets. It was important for us to make them affordable so that anyone could come and see the beauty of athletics. Tickets are going on sale today. They will range between Br12-Br25,” Vadim Devyatovsky noted.

He noted that the event will feature 10 Belarusian athletes. World champion in the 200m Ramil Guliyev, two-time world champion in high jump Maria Lasitskene, Rio Olympic champion in pole vaulting Katerina Stefanidi have confirmed their participation.

The head of the European Athletics Association Sven Arne Hansen highlighted the importance of the event. In his opinion, Minsk Dinamo stadium that will host the event is the most beautiful athletic venue in Europe.

The Team Europe apparel was presented during the press event in the National Press Center. It has been made by a Belarusian company.

Europe vs USA match is due in Minsk, Dinamo Stadium, on 9-10 September. It is expected to feature some 350 athletes. The competitions will include hammer throwing, javelin throwing, discus throwing, 100m dash, 100m hurdles, 110m hurdles, 200m run, 400m run, 400m hurdles, 800m run, 1,500m run, 3,000m run, 3,000m hurdles, a 4x100m relay race, a mixed relay race (200-200-400-800 meters), shot put, triple jump, high jump, long jump, pole vaulting.
