MINSK, 22 March (BelTA) – The Belarusian Innovation Fund launches a start-up contest Belarus ICT Start-up Award at TIBO 2017, BelTA has learned from the press service of the State Science and Technology Committee.
“With the support of the State Science and Technology Committee, the Belarusian Innovation Fund in cooperation with the BSU School of Business and Management of Technology and the Society for Innovative Business Support launches a start-up contest Belarus ICT Start-up Award. The contest will take place at the 24th international forum on telecommunications, information and banking technologies TIBO 2017. The event aims to support business initiative in IT and instrument engineering, to amplify competencies in innovation project management and commercialize the results of innovation projects,” the press service noted.
The organizers invite teams and individuals to apply for the contest with start-up projects in the fields of mobile technologies and platforms, information security, communication systems and the Internet of Things, information, entertainment and educational technologies, augmented and virtual reality, AI, robotics and autonomic vehicles, electronic and instrument engineering, photonics, opto- and microelectronics, HealthTech, FinTech.
Belarus ICT Start-up Award has three stages. The elimination round finishes on 12 April. Then the participants will work with the experts and attend training courses till 14 April. The presentation of the projects to investors and experts as part of the Investor Day and the award ceremony are scheduled for 20 April.
The winners of the contest will be awarded grants to fund their business plans for the National Contest of Innovative Projects. They will also be awarded prizes, diplomas and certificates for an intensive start-up training course at the BSU School of Business and Management.
