MINSK, 8 November (BelTA) – Golden Listapadzik, the main prize of the Listapadzik Children and Youth Film Competition, has been presented to the film The Lesson by Azerbaijani directors Rafig Aliyev and Cavid Tevekkul, BelTA learned from the organizers of the 23rd Minsk International Film Festival Listapad.
This year, the films from the program of the Children and Youth Film Competition were screened at the Pioner cinema house from 5 to 8 November. The program featured eight works by filmmakers from Azerbaijan, Belgium, Bulgaria, Germany, France and the United States.
The Best Film prize went to Microbe and Gasoline directed by Michel Gondry, France. Flora Li Thiemann from Nelly’s Adventure directed by Dominik Wessely of Germany was named Best Child Actor. The Best Adult Actor in Children’s Film award was given to Jordan Prentice for At Eye Level directed by Evi Goldbrunner and Joachim Dollhopf, Germany. At Eye Level also won the special prize of the jury.
A diploma For Dedicated Camerawork in Glorifying the Beauty of Surrounding World; Best Camerawork was presented to Simon Niblett for The Eagle Huntress (United States, United Kingdom, Mongolia). The Keeper (Belgium, France, Switzerland; directed by Guillaume Senez) got a diploma For the First Adult Decision in the Life of a Teenager. Hagi Lacatus from Nelly’s Adventure was named Best Supporting Child Actor. A diploma For Outstanding Directing and Exquisite Cinema Language was given to Zhaleika by Eliza Petkova (Germany, Bulgaria).
The Listapadzik 2016 jury included Emilia Mira Haviarova (Czech Republic), Andrei Zvalevsky (Belarus), Yevgenia Pasternak (Belarus), and Yekaterina Klado (Russia).
