MINSK, 20 May (BelTA) - Technical University of Cotopaxi, Ecuador will cooperate with Belarusian universities and research centers. The agreement was reached during a working visit of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to Ecuador Igor Poluyan to Cotopaxi Province, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Belarusian diplomat met with the Rector, staff and students of Technical University of Cotopaxi, which is located in the provincial capital, city Latacunga. “Igor Poluyan got familiar with the educational and research activities of the university, apprised the Ecuadorian side of higher and professional education in Belarus and the positive dynamics of the Belarusian-Ecuadorian scientific, technical and educational cooperation,” the press service of the Belarusian ministry said.

During the visit, the head of the Belarusian diplomatic mission met with the Prefect of Cotopaxi Province and representatives of business community. The parties discussed prospects for establishing trade and economic cooperation between Belarus and the Ecuadorian province.
