MINSK, 5 January (BelTA) – Switzerland drew 4-4 with the UAE at the 14^th Christmas amateur ice hockey tournament for the prizes of the President of Belarus, which is underway at Minsk’s Chizhovka Arena, BelTA has learned.

The second match of the day in Group A is scheduled for 19.00. Belarus will face China, the debutant of the Minsk tournament. In the opening round Switzerland beat China 7-4 and Belarus routed the UAE 12-7.

Group B will feature two games on 5 January: the Czech Republic vs Balkans and Sweden vs Russia. Earlier, Russia hammered Balkans 19-1, while the Czech Republic beat Sweden 19-3.

Yan Golubovsky of Russia is currently a top scorer with seven points (one goal and six assists).
