MINSK, 19 February (BelTA) – The Sport and Tourism Ministry of Belarus and the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs of Armenia signed a program on cooperation in physical education and sport for 2015-2016, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Belarusian ministry.
The document was signed by Sport and Tourism Minister of Belarus Alexander Shamko and Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs of Armenia Gabriel Ghazaryan.
“The major goal of the program is the implementation of measures to develop mutually beneficial cooperation to secure equal human rights for physical education and doing sport, setting up of a system to train high-level athletes, creation of a sport pool for international sport events and the efficient use of sport bases,” the press service said.
The implementation of the program envisages cooperation between government bodies in physical education and sport, public and regional sport organizations, educational, scientific, medical sport establishments of the two countries. It is planned that the national teams of Belarus and Armenia will continue their participation in official international competitions held on their territories as well as in open championships and tournaments. Besides, the parties agreed on the participation of sport delegations in official sport events of the two countries.
The program also envisages Belarus-Armenia cooperation in anti-doping control and other areas.
