Smolski 3rd in sprint at Commonwealth Cup in Raubichi

MINSK, 26 January (BelTA) – Belarus’ Raubichi is hosting the Commonwealth Biathlon Cup featuring Belarusian and Russian athletes, BelTA has learned.

Leader of the men’s total score Anton Smolski of Belarus finished 3rd, with one penalty, 17.2 seconds behind winner Eduard Latypov of Russia. Russia’s Daniil Serokhvostov came in 2nd.

Three-time medalist of the previous leg Dzmitry Lazouski of Belarus shot clean to finish 4th.

Stsiapan Danilau came in 7th (clean shooting), Maksim Varabei was 11th, Ivan Tulatin – 13th, Aliaksandr Koshyn – 15th, Mikita Labastau – 24th, Raman Yaliotnau – 25th, Ilya Auseyenka – 29th, Pavel Belko – 32nd. A total of 33 athletes took part in the race.

The fifth leg of the Commonwealth Cup in Raubichi with continue with the women’s sprint on 27 January. The program also includes two pursuits on Saturday and two mass starts on 29 January.
