VITEBSK, 18 February (BelTA) – Tickets for concerts of the 29th edition of the International Festival of Arts Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk that will take place in the Summer Amphitheater and the Vitebsk Concert Hall will be available on sale on 21 February, BelTA learned from the directorate of the festival.
Starting from 24 February, tickets will also be sold via the websites kvitki.by, ticketpro.by, bilesuserviss.lv (Latvia), bilietai.lt (Lithuania), and piletilevi.ee (Estonia).
“The start of the ticket sales is an important stage, this is why the directorate of the festival will launch the promo ‘First 29 Days to Celebrate 29th Festival’ offering a 10% discount on tickets for events in Summer Amphitheater and the Vitebsk Concert Hall from 21 February till 20 March,” the organizers noted.
The Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk festival will be running on 13-21 July. The opening ceremony will take place on 16 July, the closing one on 20 July. Additional events will be scheduled for 13-15 and 21 July.
The main events of the festival will be the 29th International Song Contest Vitebsk 2020 and the 18th International Children's Song Contest Vitebsk 2020. The Vitebsk Concert Hall will traditionally host the contest among young artists. Adult singers will compete at the Summer Amphitheater. On the first day of the final, contestants will perform a Slavic hit song accompanied by an orchestra. The second day will feature an international hit song to a backing track. The second part of each concert will include recitals of singers Dmitry Malikov and Thomas Anders.
The main venue of the festival is the Summer Amphitheater. Other venues include the Vitebsk Concert Hall, the Yakub Kolas National Academic Drama Theater, the Vitebsk Oblast Philharmonic, and the Belarusian theater Lyalka. The program will feature other interesting projects. For example, Victory Square will host the open air event Festival Picnic. The choir festival Slavianski Blagovest will be held in the Holy Assumption Cathedral. The 2nd edition of Dream Dance Fest is scheduled to take place in the Vitebsk Oblast Philharmonic. The directorate of the festival will play host to jazz nights. The program of the festival will traditionally include the street art festival On Seven Winds, music, theater, puppet, and art projects, as well as exhibitions in museums.
