VITEBSK, 12 July (BelTA) – The 28th international festival of arts Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk receives numerous greetings from foreign heads of state and other high-ranking officials, Honored Artist of Belarus Yelena Spiridovich said at the opening ceremony of the forum, BelTA has learned.
The message of greetings from Moldova President Igor Dodon reads that this large-scale forum is very important for the enhancement of humanitarian cooperation as it promotes mutual spiritual enrichment and rapprochement of nations.
Russia President Vladimir Putin described the festival as a truly extraordinary event which is enriching the cultural life of many countries. He emphasized that the festival is famous for good creative traditions, the atmosphere of friendship and creativity.
Armenia Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan also sent his best greetings to the participants and guests of the festival. He remarked that over the years the festival had extended beyond the borders of the Slavonic world and had become a platform for international humanitarian dialogue between all continents unveiling hundreds of talents and kick-starting careers of up-and-coming performers and young hopefuls.
Speaker of Slovakia’s National Council Andrej Danko and Chairperson of Kazakhstan’s Senate Dariga Nazarbayeva also sent messages of greetings to the guests and participants of the festival. Dariga Nazarbayeva remarked that Slavianski Bazaar has become a landmark event in the calendar of global cultural events which brings together thousands of art lovers from all over the world.
Letters of greetings have been also received from ministers and other officials from Argentina, Kyrgyzstan, Poland, Serbia, Uzbekistan, China and other countries.
