VITEBSK, 9 July (BelTA) – The first events of the international arts festival Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk got underway on 9 July. The directorate of the festival told BelTA what events and projects are in the offer for participants and spectators of the large-scale cultural forum.
The famous Russian dancer, choreographer and director Yegor Druzhinin will hold a press conference at the international press center. He is known as a jury member of various dance shows. This year he will present his show “Life Everywhere” to the Vitebsk audience. The show will start at the Vitebsk Concert Hall at 20:00.
Works of Belarusian and Russian artisans will be on display at the art museum. The exposition will open at 12:00.
The international dance project Dream Dance Fest will bring together young dancers who will show their talent and skill on the stage of the Vitebsk Concert Hall. The show will begin at 12.30.
Photography lovers will be able to see the exhibition “Magnificent Belarus - through heritage to modern ideas” in the foyer of the Vitebsk Concert Hall starting from 14:00.
The summer amphitheater invites viewers to see the “Guests from the future” project featuring famous bloggers, performers, as well as the best children's and youth music groups. The drawing of lots for participants in the International Children's Song Contest will also take place there. Belarus will be represented by Zlata Yaroshevich from Vitebsk Oblast. After winners of the Dream Dance Fest contest are awarded, Belarusian performers will light up the show.
The 33rd edition of the international arts festival Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk is running on 9-15 July. The festival will officially open on 11 July and close on 14 July. The program of the festival features many exciting events and activities. Although Vitebsk has recently turned 1,050 years, it remains young, vibrant, and most importantly, welcoming.
