Italy's Dorothea Wierer claim her first career win in 42:17. Second place went to Marie Dorin Habert of France with two penalties, 14.1 seconds back. Olena Pidhrushna of Ukraine claimed third, 37.8 seconds back.

Clean-shooting Nadezhda Skardino was 1:04.1 behind the winner. Anastasia Duborezova, who also shot clean, finished 12^th, Irina Krivko was 22^nd, Nadezhda Pisareva 50^th and Darya Yurkevich with five penalties went 59^th in the final protocol. Belarus’ debutant Kristina Ilchenko was 69^th.

Last season Nadezhda Skardino finished 4^th in the women’s 15K individual in Ostersund.

BMW IBU World Cup Biathlon 1 will continue with the men’s 10K and women’s 7.5K sprints on 5 December. The 12.5K and 10K pursuits will wrap up the program of the Ostersund competitions on 6 December.
