MINSK, 16 January (BelTA) – Nadezhda Skardino of Belarus finished 6th in the mass start of the BMW IBU World Cup Biathlon 5 in Ruhpolding, Germany, BelTA informs.
The Belarusian covered the 12.5km track in 41:53.2 with one penalty. Her teammate Darya Yurkevich finished 26th (45:07.7) with four penalties.
Clean-shooting Gabriela Soukalova of the Czech Republic skied to gold in 41:13.2. Second was Franziska Hildebrand of Germany, with one penalty, 13.9 second behind. Bronze went to Germany’s Laura Dahlmeier, 24.4 seconds back, two penalties. One of this season’s favorites Kaisa Makarainen of Finland was out due to health problems.
