MINSK, 21 December (BelTA) – Clean-shooting Nadezhda Skardino of Belarus finished 5th in the women’s mass start in Pokljuka, Slovenia on 20 December, BelTA informs.
Finland’s Kaisa Makarainen won the women’s mass start in 34:40.2 with just a single penalty. Clean-shooting Gabriela Soukalova of the Czech Republic finished second, 11.8 seconds back. Russia’s Olga Podchufarova, also shooting clean had her first World Cup podium in third place, 27.7 seconds back.
The IBU World Cup standings are led by Gabriela Soukalova with 349 points. Second goes France’s Marie Dorin Habert with 345 points. Nadezhda Skardino is 14th with the total of 185 points.
BMW IBU World Cup Biathlon 4 will take place in Oberhof, Germany on 7-10 January.
