MINSK, 23 June (BelTA) – A sign “Road of Chinese-Belarusian Friendship” has been unveiled in the village of Bykachino, Smolevichi District, BelTA learned from the Smolevichi District Executive Committee.
The stone sign reading “Road of Chinese-Belarusian Friendship” commemorates the completion of the construction of the road in the village of Bykachino located close to the Belarus-China industrial park Great Stone. The construction project has been carried out by road maintenance and construction branch No.123 of the company Minobldorstroi with humanitarian assistance from the China Merchants Charitable Foundation.
“The road is some 1.5km long, but it is of great importance to both local residents and the resident companies of the industrial park. It was a long-awaited project. The road will be linked to the M1 highway in the future,” Smolevichi District Executive Committee representatives said.
The unveiling ceremony was attended by representatives of the China Merchants Charitable Foundation and the Smolevichi District Executive Committee. Local residents got commemorative gifts from the Chinese side.
