MINSK, 9 August (BelTA) – Aliona Dubitskaya of Belarus secured bronze in the women’s shot put final at the 2018 European Athletics Championships in Berlin, BelTA has learned.

The Belarusian threw 18.81m to finish third. Paulina Guba of Poland took gold with her best attempt of 19.33m. Christina Schwanitz of Germany collected silver (19.19m).

Viktoriya Kolb of Belarus finished 8^th with 17.50m. Alena Abramchuk placed 12^th with 16.90m.

Earlier, Dmitry Dyubin won bronze in the men’s 50km speed walking for Belarus.
