MINSK, 20 June (BelTA) – The Second Belarusian Social Business Forum will take place in Minsk on 28 June, BelTA learned from the Office of the Support Program of Belarus of the Federal Government of Germany.
Experts from Belarus, Germany, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, and Denmark will discuss impact investing (investing that fosters social changes), measurement of social effect, corporate social responsibility programs of big companies, and mentoring programs for startups. Representatives of the business community will be able to share their expertise and knowledge in this field and to discuss their contribution to addressing social and environmental issues.
The forum will be held in a form of panel discussions. Products and services of 16 Belarusian social enterprises will be showcased. Among them are VR technologies that help restore standing balance of people who have suffered from head traumas, strokes and other diseases. Another social service provides an online assistant for visually impaired people (this project was developed by a company from the Hi-Tech Park). The IT School My Freedom will be presented. This school will train highly-qualified specialists in 3D modeling, web design and programming, computer graphics and mobile applications.
Among the organizers of the forum are the Support Program of Belarus of the Federal Government of Germany and the United Nations Development Program in Belarus. The European Union provides financial assistance for the forum.
